We tend to think of luck as being one or two “lucky” events when in fact it is a series of continuously fortunate and unnoticeable situations and outcomes that, like shaking pebbles in a bucket, bring some to the top.

In a population of almost 7.5 billion, a majority of whom are trying their hardest, after 42 years, I believe that success is mostly chance, some nepotism, and a little merit. Often, I see merit being suppressed as a threat.

Finally, I think we strongly resist this idea since it’s depressing and futile. However, I feel I have to keep swimming hard against the flow, else I’d not even have gotten this far.
