I typed out the two coded tutorials in the book, if that counts, and made notes which are all on my GitHub. Then I had an idea for something small I could use it on which reflected what I would mostly use Rust for. It took me a week to realise that I'd be better off cutting my losses and using Go. My process for learning Go was to read a book without writing any code, to see if I like what I see, that was 2 years ago. Then I started writing Go and re-reading the book and made incredible progress, because Go is very simple. This is how I learn. I built my own house, too. I read a book on house building and construction, and then I bought a wreck and built a house. This way of learning by studying and then doing has been highly effective my whole life. I could fuck around aimlessly in the dark if that pleases you.
